Planner/Buyer, TV Investments

JOB SUMMARY

Within Havas Media, the Planner/Buyer, TV Investments is responsible for the negotiation and placement of all media for existing clients, and making special recommendations that will be presented to the client and key account management personnel. As a Planner/Buyer, you are responsible for all video, FEP, and TV ad placements and account maintenance. This role reports into the Supervisor.

*This position is located in Miami, FL. Must be willing to relocate. Relocation assistance provided. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates and executes Video buys from start to finish
  • Negotiates and documents rates, special placements and added value
  • Executes all Media plans while adhering to established budgets and timelines
  • Clearly and accurately communicates orders and changes to media vendors
  • Monitors buys in progress, and is responsible for overseeing the post-buy results of all buys
  • Tracks media expenditures in Havas Media system(s) to ensure budget compliance
  • Researches and maintains record of trends, innovations and changes that affect media landscape
  • Provides new and profitable ideas to grow clients’ business
  • Acts as liaison between media vendors and the agency
  • Gathers organizes and presents competitive research and spending data, as requested
  • Provides market analysis and other reports, as requested
  • Mentor and support junior team members

 

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • 1- 3 years of TV buying/planning experience, in the US market as a junior or assistant buyer at a media agency
  • Demonstrate strong negotiating capability, excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, problem solving, and, decision-making skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, MediaOcean, Prisma, DDS
  • Ability to manage simultaneous tasks in a fast-paced technology-oriented environment
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university
