ACCOUNT MANAGER – CORPORATE PUBLICITY

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Reporting to: Head of International Publicity

 

The main elements of the role are:

  • The candidate would take an active role in client liaison - reacting to their requests as necessary and knowing what they need, when
  • Develop and/or have in place an impressive press contacts network, across multiple aspects of the media
  • Candidate must have a strong (or be able to quickly develop an) awareness of the industry climate and be able to proactively identify PR opportunities for clients – and identify potential new ones
  • Develop strong, creative ideas and pitch individuals and news stories/ interviews to appropriate press- particularly for our Corporate clients
  • Be competent in scheduling approved press activity, prioritising outlets and demonstrating an understanding of international media as well as the UK press
  • Managing and overseeing the team assistant(s) with their collation of coverage, press lists, pitch documents and wrap reports
  • Drafting and servicing press releases, seeking most appropriate placement based on the clients’ brief and securing wide, impactful coverage
  • Talent handling of cast, creatives and filmmakers
  • Mentoring junior members of the team
  • Responsible for invoicing fees and expenses on behalf of the International team when the Head of Publicity requires it

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • 4-5 years’ experience in PR, preferably working with entertainment companies but experience in brands/tech/lifestyle PR would also be considered
  • Experience in Corporate Communications
  • Mature attitude and ability to strategise around a client’s brief
  • Ability to report directly to clients and advise on PR matters on an ad hoc basis
  • Strong relationships with relevant media, in order to pitch specific opportunities directly and with positive results
  • Confident with a good work ethic – the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Can-do attitude
  • Willingness to work out of hours and occasionally at weekends
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and abroad, on behalf of Organic’s projects
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent eye for detail

 

DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in Film and/or TV corporate publicity and strong relationships with production companies, sales agents, financiers, distributors, broadcasters, Streaming services, talent reps etc.
  • Experience working at Film and/or TV Festivals, in unit publicity or on International PR campaigns
  • A passion for film, TV and entertainment
