Then we think the BCBA position is right for you!  We are a center-based program for children with autism ranging in age from 0-6.  We use principals of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to help us motivate and teach the children in our program essential skills. Our ABA program’s highest priority is providing quality services to our consumers. Our BCBA’s conduct ABA assessments (VB-MAPP, ABLLS, FBAs, etc.) and collaboratively develop programming with parents that target essential skills such as communication, social skills, play, imitation, toileting, etc. We are looking for individuals who are energetic, organized, take initiative, and demonstrate a strong understanding of ABA and ethical practices to grow our team!

 

 As part of your role you will be responsible for some of the following:

  • Complete ABA Assessments, such as FBA, VB-MAPP and ABLLS-R and develop ABA programs to be incorporated into the IPOS.
  • Train staff, parents and other professionals in the implementation of ABA programming
  • Engage parents in treatment planning and parent training sessions.
  • Systematically monitor consumer’s ABA programs, graphs, and other data collection methods.
  • Assist with the development of procedural integrity checks within the center based ABA program.
  • Collect and summarize data on an ongoing basis.  Generate reports on progress in ABA programming once per quarter.
  • Provide regular supervision to Behavior Technicians or other assigned ABA staff.  Must complete one hour of direct supervision for every 10 hours of ABA services provided.
  • Provide individual and group supervision to practicum students as needed.
  • Maintain a caseload of up to 12 ABA cases and up to 5 consultative cases.  Caseloads may vary depending on severity of cases and amount of oversight necessary for the cases.
  • Ensure client safety and dignity through trainings and supervision
  • Attend all required training to enhance skills and meet Agency guidelines and as required by the State of MI, COA, and other agencies governing the operation of the Agency.

To qualify for this exciting opportunity you will need:

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, ABA or other human service field
  • Must be credentialed as a BCBA for at least two years
  • A minimum of two years of supervisory experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to maintain a positive relationship with clients, staff, co-workers, senior staff and community contacts
  • Must have strong leadership skills including the ability to lead and build teams
  • Possess excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
