Our Family Assessment & Intervention Services is an excellent opportunity for a social worker/clinician who recognize their skill in easily and effectively connecting with others in new relationships and facilitating the development of confidence from clients who do not easily offer up their uncomfortable and upsetting thoughts and feelings.  Clinicians who are successful at these skills experience a great sense of satisfaction in knowing they have helped start a process of healing and optimism for a brighter tomorrow for our clients, thereby helping “children and families shape their own future”.

We have 3 shifts to choose from
Saturday & Sunday - 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Saturday & Sunday - 4:00 pm - 12:30 am
Saturday & Sunday - 12:00 am - 8:30 am


Does this sound like the position for you?

As part of your role as an Clinician in our Family Assessment & Intervention Services program you will be responsible for some of the following:

 

  • Using a Family Centered Planning model; conduct intake assessments to determine medical necessity and eligibility criteria, coordinate referrals to internal and external providers, and formulate treatment recommendations for appropriate service and program assignment.
  • Formulate case presentation for psychiatric consultation.
  • Utilize the ICD and/or DSM to diagnosis and appropriate assessment tool, such as CAFAS/PECFAS as programmatically indicated.
  • Provide a welcoming environment for new and returning clients and partners to The Children’s Center.

 

To qualify for this exciting opportunity you will need:

 

  • Master’s degree in mental health related field such as; social work, or/and counseling.
  • State of Michigan Full or Limited License (MSW, Professional Counselor) – Full License preferred.
  • CAFAS or PECFAS Certification a plus.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience engaging children and families within a framework of cultural competency.
  • Experience in assessment, crisis intervention and diagnosing preferred.
  • Previous experience using an electronic medical records system preferred
