Clinician - Early Childhood Behavioral Health

Clinical Detroit, Michigan

Description

The Early Childhood Behavioral Health Program (ECBH) provides home-based (Infant Mental Health) and community-based services (Incredible Years) for families with children ages 0-6. We provide intervention services to families where the life circumstances or the characteristics of the family threaten attachment and consequently the social, emotional, behavioral and cognitive development of the child. ECBH primarily uses The Infant Mental Health Model and The Incredible Years Model. Our goal is to promote development mentally, socially and emotionally.

The program provides community based clinical intervention for children with reported behavioral, emotional and social issues. Services help to reduce the incidence and prevalence of abuse, neglect, developmental delays, behavioral and emotional disorders. Services help to foster a positive attachment between caregivers and infant, reduce the parent’s mental health issues and promote optimal growth and development of the child within the family. This program helps with early detection of mental health and developmental disorders.
