We’re seeking a Senior Media Analyst. The Senior Media Analyst will be responsible for analyzing data, developing custom reports, and providing actionable insights to support business objectives. This role requires collaboration with various departments to understand and address their data needs. It also requires a keen eye for detail, strong media knowledge, and the ability to communicate complex findings in a clear and concise manner. More specifically, in this role, you will:
 
Media Analytics Team
Part of the overall Analytics Group, the Media Analytics Team focuses on digital analytics, audience insights, and media performance optimization, client reporting and relationships, as well as cross-functional integration. They deliver best-in-class campaign reporting and insights, enabling data-driven decisions for media mix investing within the retail media ecosystem. The team audits advertising campaigns, troubleshoots performance issues, tracks and reports on KPIs, and provides consultation to Commerce Media planning and buying teams. They partner with the Commerce Media team to discuss advertising performance, provide campaign insights and recommendations, and continuously improve digital media analytics product and service offerings. Additionally, they answer client questions and ensure insights align with business objectives, write and approve proposals and presentations, oversee the work, and help drive the growth of the department.
  • Core Responsibilities: Digital Analytics, Data Clean Rooms, First Party Data, Second Party Data, Third Party Data, Audience Insights, Retail Media Measurement, Post Campaign Analysis, Incrementality Analysis.  
  • Primary Tools: Amazon Marketing Cloud, Azure Synapse, PowerBI, LiveRamp, Retail Media Platforms (Criteo, The Trade Desk, etc.) 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and execute complex media analysis projects, delivering high-quality, actionable insights. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional agency and client teams to identify data-driven opportunities, define analytic needs, and inform media strategies to drive business outcomes. 
  • Mentor and guide junior media data analysts, providing technical guidance and support. 
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reports, dashboards, and visualizations. 
  • Critical thinking to analyze data and derive meaningful media insights. 
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders. 
  • Support new business RFP and pitching efforts as required.
  • Support annual planning initiatives with clients.
  • Demonstrates ability to initiate relationships and is responsible for developing these into strong client relationships.
  • Develop and lead client presentations.
  • Help the wider team attract, train, and develop talent, ensuring Analytics keeps a diversity of skills, backgrounds, and experience.
  • Continues to assist in knowledge sharing through internal communication events, training, and other written material.
  • Maintain relevant marketing certifications and stay informed of media trends, tools, and methodologies
  • Support wider agency initiatives.
  • Support the creation of white papers, agency “points of view”, blog posts, etc.
  • Show up - be accountable, take responsibility, and get back up when you are down.

SKILLSETS REQUIRED: 
  • Bachelor's/master’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. 
  • At least 3-10 years of experience in media data analysis and analytics management. 
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills is a given. 
  • Demonstrated experience in leading media analytics methodologies such as Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA), Audience Development, and Data Clean Rooms 
  • Experience in the media and marketing domain, providing valuable context for data-driven decision-making. 
  • Experience with retail media platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, Kroger, Criteo, Citrus, and third-party API partners (SKAI, Pacvue, etc). 
  • Strong technical understanding of a range of media and marketing concepts such as first-party and third-party cookie-based data collection, developing and activating audience segments from digital analytics and data management platforms. 
  • Excellent project management skills to handle multiple media analytics projects and meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to direct team members to ensure successful outcomes of media analytic projects. 
  • Superior communication skills to convey complex media data insights to non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Strategic thinking to develop and implement effective media analytics strategies. 
  • Strong statistical analysis skills to derive actionable insights from media data. 
  • Proficient in data modeling to structure and organize media data effectively. 
  • Experience with BI tools and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI for comprehensive media data analysis and reporting. 
  • Familiarity with and experience in adhering to data governance and security protocols. 
  • Proven track record of driving business results through data-driven decision-making in media. 
  • Collaborative mindset to work seamlessly with creative, strategic, and client-facing teams. 
  • Critical thinking to analyze media data and derive meaningful marketing insights.
