The Learning Tree of Elgin West is a licensed childcare center seeking full-time seasonal summer camp teachers! 

This is an exciting summer/seasonal opportunity for a self-motivated, energetic candidate who is passionate about early childhood education. Our mission is to be a nurturing environment for young children trusted by parents. We accomplish this by focusing on the needs of our students through age-appropriate educational activities in a fun, loving, and safe setting.

 Compensation: $19-21/hr, based on experience or education 

 Shift: Monday – Friday, 9am-6pm

Seasonal schedule: Summer camp runs June 1 - August 20 

 Some of the duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean and safe for all children
• Carrying out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs
• Implementing lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family in order to provide quality care for the children

Required Qualifications:

• CDA or some college coursework relating to Early Childhood or Elementary education 
• Previous experience within a licensed childcare facility preferred
