About The Insurance Information Institute

Founded in 1960, the Insurance Information Institute (Triple-I) provides objective, fact-based information about insurance while also being a trusted source of unique, data-driven insights which inform and empower consumers. Triple-I strives for people to have the information they need to make educated decisions, manage risk, and appreciate the essential value of insurance. More than 60 insurance company members support Triple-I, including nine of the 10 largest writers of property/casualty insurance in the United States. Its focus is to create and to disseminate information; and it neither lobbies on behalf of the insurance industry sell insurance directly.   

 

Head of Communications and Content Marketing

The Triple-I is committed to providing insights and research that best empower consumers in the insurance industry. The Head of Communications and Content Marketing develops strategic platforms for managing and distributing content for Triple-I through various channels, including traditional and social media, website(s), email, etc. This role provides context to content based on a wide array of the institute's stakeholders -- risk and insurance consumers, professionals, policymakers and media -- who rely on the Triple-I’s trusted expertise and analysis on issues impacting personal and business insurance.  Serves as a key leader and spokesperson for the organization.    

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and lead a communication and content marketing strategy that supports the Triple-I’s brand, mission, and identity.
  • Serve as the leader for media relations, both traditional and social, including but not limited to interviews, relationships, CEO prep, and all coordination related to communication with member company communicators.
  • Responsible for ensuring successful content exposure aligned with Triple-I priorities and positioning and appropriate rapid response.
  • Execute creative earned media strategies that positions the Triple-I as a thought leader.
  • Institute key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of the Triple-I’s content distribution, including media citations, web site views, social media engagement.
  • Lead and management key issue(s) campaigns.
  • Responsible for developing business plans, forecasting, budgeting, policies, practices and processes within The Institutes corporate framework.
  • Works cross functionally with the entire company especially brand leaders.
  • Manages and directs staff to achieve organizational goals.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 15+ years of communications and content marketing experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or equivalent experience required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in digital content curation and management.
  • Proven experience successfully leading & directing a team.
  • Insurance industry knowledge and experience strongly preferred.
  • Media contacts among top-tier national news media outlets and social influencer channels preferred.
