Director of Content Development

The Institutes are committed to providing customer-first innovative solutions that best empower risk and insurance professionals to help those in need. We are seeking a Director of Content Development who is passionate about making an impact through creating engaging and innovative content for adult learners. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of other Directors of Content Development in the conception and creation of online educational products that explain insurance, risk management, and other business concepts through a variety of delivery methods, including scripted videos, text, images, and interactions.   • This position reports to the Senior Director of Content Development
  • No position(s) reports to this position
  • This role is hybrid with at least two days each week in the office. Candidates should be able to commute to Malvern, PA at least two days per week.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Design and develop risk management and insurance educational content for online delivery, which may include video scripts, storyboards, text, and images.
  • Develop supplemental course material, including questions that test student comprehension.
  • Facilitate or serve on instructional design and product development teams.
  • Builds expertise in instructional design and delivery strategies for online professional education.
  • Identify and champion ways to continuously improve content creation and delivery in response to evolving customer needs.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Five or more year’s journalistic, technical writing, and/or E-learning development experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and learn complicated subjects and then communicate them by crafting a well-organized and engaging narrative.
  • Experience producing a wide range of content (articles, textbooks, course content, blogs, etc.) for a variety of different audiences, with a focus on the adult learner.
