Building and Grounds Specialist

The Institutes are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Building and Grounds Specialist in Malvern, PA. This position creates value by carrying out all responsibilities associated with maintaining the Institutes’ grounds. Essential Responsibilities

  • Performs grounds maintenance duties including:
    • Mowing, trimming, pruning, and clean-up
    • Supervising outside contractors and part-time summer help
    • Keeping all equipment in good working condition
  • Inspects the grounds and recommends necessary maintenance
  • Assists in light building maintenance and repairs
  • Clears driveways, parking lots, and sidewalks of snow.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance & Grounds Manager or others in the chain of command.

Education and Experience

  • Strong service attitude.
  • Ability to work in adverse working conditions (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work well with others in an environment requiring teamwork, quick problem resolution, and shifting priorities
  • Non-traditional work hours may be required on an emergency, pre-scheduled, or project basis.
