Senior Director of Assessments
The Institutes are committed to providing customer-first and innovative solutions that best empower risk and insurance professionals to help those in need. We have a great opportunity for a Senior Director of Assessments, who will lead a team focused on developing assessments for The Institutes’ designation courses and custom courses. This includes developing new and innovative exam question types, building exams, overseeing external subject matter experts, conducting statistical analysis of assessment data and responding to assessment questions. We are seeking an analytical and innovative thinker with experience in leading teams. What You’ll Be Doing:
 Fulfill the role of team leader and manager for directors of assessments.
 Proactively promote and encourage teamwork among the directors of assessment by leading the team to achieve the departmental and organizational goals.
 Focuses on growing the assessments team through training, coaching and mentoring.
 Create valid, reliable, and balanced credentialing assessments for all assigned courses, including exam questions, form development, and assessment optimization.
 Develop new styles of questions designed to make exams more application oriented.
 Maintain exam banks for assigned courses with a sufficient number of available questions for building balanced exam forms.
 Provide expert review of new Institutes’ content for assessment-level quality standards with the customers’ perspective in mind as part of content development teams.
 Develop and manage external question writers including providing guidance and oversight to external exam question writers with training, review, and feedback.
 Lead by example and assist others in The Institutes’ five core values (Do the Right Thing, Be Customer-First, Do What You Say, Work Together, Be Innovative).
 Maintain and expand subject matter expertise in Institutes and related assessment content.
 Assist in long-term Assessments’ project planning, including setting of priorities.

Education and Experience
 Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
 Minimum of 5 years’ managerial experience preferred in related field.
 Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in insurance, assessments, or related field required.
 Experience in educational services preferred.
 Institutes’ designation preferred.
