Global Director, Customer Insights and Growth Marketing 

 

Climate LLC’s mission is to help the world’s farmers sustainably increase their productivity with digital tools. The Customer Insights and Engagement director will drive commercial excellence in the areas of global customer focus, leading the team to generate unique customer insights and translate those into customer engagement actions. You will influence stakeholders around the globe to elevate data and analytics-based decisions at Climate and the broader enterprise. This person should have a passion to help the business use that data to drive market positioning, product development, pricing and product engagement strategies. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Drive partnership and sharing of customer and marketing insights among global teams, functions and regions by establishing and fostering a formal network(s) to collaborate on research and communicate regarding insights and knowledge. 
  • Lead development of analytics to help understand user segmentation; drive alignment cross-functionally to jointly create priorities for targeted messaging and field activities. 
  • Serve on the Bayer Crop Science Global Customer Success COE Leadership team, driving integration, collaboration and alignment in the strategic area of customer experience, elevating the voice of the customer to drive business decisions and actions.
  • Lead strategic discussions with regional marketing and strategy teams to understand their growth plans/drivers and deliver customer analytics and targeting models that can be easily understood, adopted and activated in region.
  • Collaborate with team to distill data, develop insights, and inform cross-functional business partners at Climate and Bayer.
  • Lead team of research managers responsible for all aspects of customer research engagements including; project management, questionnaire design, and reporting
  • Manage partner agencies/vendors and proactively seek new agency or consulting partners to assist with strategy as needed.
  • Manage development of global data-driven plan that leads to in-app engagement, retention and upgrade, including channel strategy and creative.
  • Lead team in managing global marketing technology stack including maintenance of existing tools with Data Engineering and Product Engineering, identifying new tools, building a roadmap for future capabilities and creating connections (where appropriate) with other cross-functional partners’ tools.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain strong team of customer engagement and market research managers.
  • Strategically manage $1.6 million budget.

 

Basic Qualifications 

  • 10+ years commercial experience
  • Relevant experience in customer insights, use of customer analytics and customer marketing
  • Significant ability to influence global team members, Bayer Crop Science leads, Regional Strategy and Marketing Leads, 
  • Develop strong relationships and networks
  • Strategic thinking, about to articulate and drive a vision and purpose
  • Ability to operate successfully in a matrix

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Passion for using data to drive decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic and fast paced work environment.
  • Experience working with attitudinal, behavioral, and transactional data to derive insights.
  • Experience working with data analytics and engineering resources to integrate and ingest data into a central warehouse and establish automated data flow processes.
  • Experience in driving customer engagement in software.
