Global Digital Product Manager, Scripting

Position Overview:

The Climate Corporation is revolutionizing the agriculture industry with a platform and products that help the world’s farmers sustainably increase their productivity with digital tools. We have a unique opportunity for a Product Manager to join our team to help create the world’s largest digital agriculture platform and ecosystem to bring new innovation and product offerings to farmers and enterprises.

This role will be a critical part of The Climate Corporation’s Product team focusing on digital ag products that deliver unique agronomist & farmer value through seed, fertility, and crop protection prescriptions globally.  


Responsibilities include:

  • Understand strategic & competitive position of the Climate FieldView platform in the marketplace through customer interaction & market research specific to digital ag products
  • Lead the valuation & market assessment for global digital ag prescription based products for ag inputs (e.g. seed, fertility, crop protection) working across teams
  • Manage the entire product development process including building product use cases, developing & testing concepts with users that define product features that deliver value
  • Define product capabilities, organize data requirements and align resources in collaboration with Data Analytics & Engineering
  • Define, monitor and analyze metrics that inform the success of products and the user experience
  • Coordinate with customer support to gauge user input & product issues to proactively address
  • Collaborate with: Regional Teams, Sales, Product, Design, Science, Engineering, Data Analytics and Support
  • Recruit, develop, and retain global product managers

Basic Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in precision agriculture software products
  • 5+ years relevant experience in Software or Marketing or Sales, preferably in agriculture
  • Familiarity with retailer and dealer variable rate prescription tools for seed, crop protection or fertility products
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • The demonstrated ability to lead projects and influence a broad set of internal stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Masters Degree
  • Strong background in US row crop agronomics, farming practices and distribution
  • Experience with variable rate prescription type products & tools used by retailers and dealers
  • Experience working cross-functionally
  • Self-starter, with the demonstrated ability to drive results in a highly dynamic environment
  • Flexible, can-do attitude, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
