Position Overview

The Climate Corporation is revolutionizing the agriculture industry with tools that help the world’s farmers sustainably increase their productivity with digital tools and data analytics. We are seeking a highly motivated and high-performing product manager, preferably with experience in the areas of agriculture, irrigation, remote sensing, or weather to become a member of our product organization to help build the foundation for new digital agriculture products. What You Will Do:

  • Own and execute components of product management lifecycle, from discovery to delivery.
  • Successfully translate complex analytics models into easily consumable and valuable insights for our customers as they make important agronomic or business decisions
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Climate FieldView application and help identify the gaps to build successful products
  • Collaborate with various project stakeholders in product, design, engineering, science and marketing teams to discover, develop, design, and deliver product capabilities
  • Through and agile development process, inspire and motivate the engineering team during the planning and development process
  • Learn to synthesize scientific concepts and research into organized technical product requirements
  • Build relationships with customers, learn how and when agronomic decisions are made and executed, and be the trusted consultant for customer behavior
  • Identify, build, and track key product success metrics and derive product iterations to improve product quality and user experience
  • Travel to meet customers, partners, other office locations, conferences and trade shows, not exceeding 20%

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of software oriented, digital product management experience
  • B.S. in a technical field
  • Data analysis / data management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Outstanding problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior farming experience with precision agriculture equipment
  • Experience in proximal sensors, remote sensing, weather, or irrigation technologies
  • Working with science / engineering teams utilizing agile software development tools
  • The ideal candidate will be methodical, detail-oriented and someone who can drive consensus across multiple stakeholders
