Position Overview:

The Climate Corporation is looking for a Senior Manager of Business Analytics to join our team. You will manage and develop a team of analysts, statisticians, and data scientists to provide critical insights to the business.  You will also provide strategic support to leadership, executive, and business management teams. Working closely with the Director of Data Science, you will help execute on the vision for Business Analytics at The Climate Corporation, while also being hands-on. The ideal candidate sets ambitious goals for the team and has the passion and people skills to keep team members engaged and loving what they do.

What You Will Do:

  • Work with the Director of Data Science on developing and executing tactical plans, adopting new processes to achieve those objectives and proactively address potential hurdles
  • Set impactful objectives that take advanced analytics capabilities to the next level, and translate them into actionable projects and insights
  • Lead a team of data analysts, data scientists, and statisticians to create compelling metrics, KPIs, and advanced analytics to extract meaningful insights using a variety of data sources and techniques
  • Mentor and develop analysts with regular 1:1 discussions. Identify the right training opportunities to evolve the team’s talent
  • Build trusted partnerships across stakeholders. Enable functions by supporting them and leading new analytics capabilities for the entire company
  • Be hands-on when needed while adopting an analytical framework to solve a problem 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Econometrics, Math, Engineering, or other quantitative discipline
  • 2+ years experience managing teams
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in scaling Data Science for insights and expert understanding of statistical concepts and techniques
  • Hands-on experience with A/B testing and experimentation
  • Keen on using DevOps and DataOps to ensure quality in the analytical process

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Domain expertise in areas such as Product Analytics, Marketing Analytics, etc.
  • Ability to put automated analytics and understanding of deploying Data Science models into production
  • Familiarity with Agile framework
  • Interested in understanding Ag concepts to better serve our customers and enterprise
