Terran Orbital Corporation is seeking an experienced AIT Technician – Vehicle Integration. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the AIT Technician, will be responsible for manufacturing sub-assemblies of spacecraft. The ideal candidate should possess a keen visual understanding and knowledge of quality control and ASO-9100 standards with close attention to detail and origination skills. This role will be working our weekend shift from Thursday – Monday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM.  
 
Key Duties And Responsibilities 
  • Follow detailed procedures to assemble complex electronic and mechanical modules.
  • Perform soldering tasks and knowledge of soldering tools and practices (J-STD_001 certification preferred but not required)
  • Operate hand tools such as screwdrivers, torque wrenches, tweezers, scissors, etc.
  • Perform miscellaneous lab duties, including kitting, inventory, and organization tasks
  • Communicate statuses, issues, and suggestions effectively to the support engineering team
  • Updating documentation and hardware statuses through online services
  • Basic avionics and the electrical troubleshooting
  • Assist in spacecraft flight integration activities
  • Must possess a strong work ethic, be able to work with limited supervision, and meet the requirements of the attendance policy
  • Must perform all functions of the job in a safe and professional manner
  • Must keep work area(s) in a neat, clean, safe, and orderly condition
  • Ability to sit for most of the working day
  • Perform other tasks/responsibilities as assigned
Qualification And Skills 
  • 2+ years of professional experience working hands-on as a technician in the aerospace, aviation, or a similar industry
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, understand and follow detailed work instructions for testing flight modules
  • Proficiency with Windows 10, Microsoft Office products, and internet browser applications
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Familiarity with cleanroom cleanliness standards and ESD precautions
  • Meticulous attention to detail and documentation

Salary $20.00 - $32.00 per hour 
Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Physical Demands 
An employee must meet the physical demands described to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. In performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to sit or stand for long durations of time, in addition to bending, reaching, and walking. This would require the ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. This position is generally sedentary, with substantial computer usage. 
 
Work Environment 
The job operates in a professional office environment but in a manufacturing company. This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners.
