Terran Orbital Corporation is seeking a motivated, experienced, and highly organized Procurement Specialist to provide purchased materials and supplies and manage and develop the vendor base across our satellite and technology programs at our multiple location. As a Procurement Specialist (Buyer), you will collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, managers, and other stakeholders to maintain and status execution of projects and prepare performance evaluation reports. 

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Award Purchase Orders for materials as required based on best practice and/or best value for the company.
  • Identify and develop qualified suppliers.
  • Follow up with suppliers on delivery schedules, coordinate expediting activity as needed, and communicate information to appropriate team members.
  • Review and share engineering requirements and quality flowdowns with suppliers. 
  • Maintain records in accordance with established policies, procedures, and audit guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain supplier relationship and manage customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure corrective actions are implemented, effective, and completed timely.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and report to supervisor on a regular basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 Qualifications and Skills  

  • Familiarity in ERP software, such as MS Dynamics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (emphasis on Excel & PowerPoint)
  • At least 2 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain role
  • Ability to evaluate procurement bids in accordance with established criteria
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to influence, persuade, and negotiate
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Driven, highly motivated, and committed to improvement
  • Ability to add something unique and positive to our team

 Education

  • Bachelors degree in related field or comparable relevant experience required

Salary Range $69,000-$90,000

             

Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Physical Demands

An employee must meet the physical demands described to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. In performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to sit or stand for long durations of time, in addition to bending, reaching, and walking. This would require the ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. This position is generally sedentary, with substantial computer usage. 

Work Environment

The job operates in a professional office environment but in a manufacturing company. This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners.
