Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Proposal Pricing Analyst to join our growing team. Reporting to the Director of Bids & Proposals, the Proposal Pricing Analyst research and analyze historical data to develop cost estimation models to support proposal efforts, will collaborate with business development, program management, and engineering teams to lead pricing drills, generate ROMs and fully compliant cost proposals to capture new business across space sectors markets. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Compile cost and pricing data and own cost volume in the development of proposals following a request for proposal (RFP) specifications
  • Coordinate costing activities and participates in fact-finding meetings
  • Participate in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives
  • Provide key inputs for gate reviews and Bid Decision Reviews (BDRs)
  • Collaborate with business development, program management, and engineering teams to complete pricing drills, ROMs, and fully compliant cost proposals
  • Participate in the evaluation of requests for proposal
  • Perform analyses supporting pricing and estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)
  • Accurately interpret and apply policies and procedures
  • Coordinate the preparation of cost and pricing spreadsheets and data
  • Analyze estimates of service, material, equipment, and production costs
  • Conduct and participate in proposal reviews with management

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree with 4 years of pricing/estimating, finance, contracts, proposals, and business-related experience, or a Master's degree with 2 years of stated experience
  • Must understand the business accounting structure, disclosure statement, CERs, and rate applications (e.g., direct, and indirect labor rates, overhead rates, fringe, and G&A)
  • Ability to work independently and with a high degree of detail in identifying, coordinating, and generating key inputs for proposals and pursuit activities.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, self-starter, excellent problem solver, have excellent communication skills and balance multiple activities.
  • Comfortable and experienced in working with multiple levels of a collaborative team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Additional Differentiators

  • Experience with aerospace & defense business environments
  • Advanced Excel skills (write complex formulas, produce live models, code VBA, etc.)
  • Knowledge of government regulations (i.e., FAR and DFARs)
  • Knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and accounting/proposal auditing techniques
  • Experience with cost and budget-constrained space programs
  • Basic understanding of satellites, space sensors, and ground systems used for space assets

Salary Range $90,000-$135,000      
     
Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Physical Demands

An employee must meet the physical demands described to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. In performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to sit or stand for long durations of time, in addition to bending, reaching, and walking. This would require the ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. This position is generally sedentary, with substantial computer usage.

Work Environment

The job operates in a professional office environment but in a manufacturing company. This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners.
