Social Media Manager

Your Role:

The Social Media Manager is responsible for creating, implementing and managing Tenable’s social media marketing strategy and plan for its corporate and career platforms. This includes drafting and managing monthly social calendars in sync with broader corporate and global marketing initiatives -- from PR to demand-gen to recruiting -- analyzing data to determine what campaigns/strategies/content works and why, and acting as a liaison between social followers and the business to identify new opportunities and risks. Rapid response and crisis comms as required, including 24 x 7 x 365 monitoring for rapid responses.

Your Opportunity:

  • Own and manage all aspects of our social media program — from strategy and planning to copywriting and graphics requests — for Tenable's corporate and career (Life@Tenable) platforms
  • Partner with the Creative team to create top-notch, social-first graphics, videos and animations to build engagement and followership
  • Supervise all aspects of social media interaction between customers and the company to ensure a positive customer service experience
  • Maintain detailed social media calendars plus regular reporting and analysis
  • Act as the social media strategist on cross-functional teams, creating and executing social strategies for campaigns, product launches, research reports and announcements
  • Ensure brand consistency in copy through tone, voice and terminology, and scale the brand through social
  • Create actionable plans to grow followership and engagement across all social media sites
  • Develop creative strategies to humanize the Tenable brand and draw prospective customers and candidates in
  • Partner with the Employer Brand Manager to promote employee spotlights, job postings and employer branding content on social media 
  • Work with the Internal Communications team to leverage the employee social sharing program to amplify news coverage, company announcements and more
  • Engage with departments and individuals worldwide to ensure Tenable’s social needs are met 24x7x365

What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years managing social media programs in-house or agency side
  • Experience managing social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) for high-growth B2B/enterprise tech companies
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills
  • Positive, team-oriented self-starter with a strong work ethic
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment that requires flexibility, teamwork and quick execution 
  • Experience using social media as a crisis communications tool 
  • Ability to meet competing deadlines and an aptitude for prioritizing tasks and projects
  • Experience with Hootsuite, BrandWatch or related social monitoring/analytics platforms
  • BA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline or equivalent experience
