Overview

The Epic Reimbursement Contracts Analyst is responsible for maintaining the expected reimbursement calculations while acting as a subject matter expert in contract interpretation, variance reporting, and reimbursement analysis. This role will also provide ongoing support and maintenance of managed care contract terms within all related accounting and information systems.

  

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Serving as the subject matter expert for Epic’s Reimbursement Contracts module
  • Analyzing, testing, and providing support for Epic’s Reimbursement Contracts through collaboration with operational users
  • Translating user requirements into functional and technical design specifications for Epic and collaborating with clients to ensure accuracy
  • Acting as a mentor to team members on Epic functionality, workflows, documentation, best practices, and change management
  • Coordinating the maintenance and updates of client’s Epic Reimbursement Contracts module
  • Performing regular performance audits to determine accuracy in expected reimbursements to ensure optimal utilization
  • Identifying and finding resolutions for all payment variances discovered during audits
  • Remaining up to date on current and emerging information regarding client’s payer contracts, Medicare legislation, regulations, market activity and industry trends

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or a minimum of 4 years healthcare experience
  • 2+ years Epic application experience including Epic project experience
  • Up to date Epic certification in Hospital Billing Expected Reimbursement Contracts
  • Demonstrated ability to translate user requirements into Epic system specifications
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to build partnerships and influence others
  • Display an understanding of medical terminology, claims billing, and both inpatient and outpatient coding

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior consulting experience
  • Demonstrated ability in project, risk, or change management
  • Formal project management certification – either PMP or CSM
  • Formal process improvement certification – ex: Lean Six Sigma or ITIL
