Overview

The Manager of Digital Solutions owns delivery of innovative solutions for our internal operations in the areas of workflow and intelligent process automation. This position works directly with our technology and Revenue Cycle Management operations teams leading full life-cycle product management, automation opportunity assessment, vendor integration, and support. This position also serves as the primary technology point of contact for one or more internal business units – helping various parts of the business operations to manage their work, confront technological issues, and drive positive change.

 

This position also serves as a:

 

  • Product manager identifying opportunities for automation, design, process change, requirement, working with engineering team and deploy solutions to meet the business needs
  • Relationship manager, managing multiple stakeholder groups on any given day; helping operations to connect with appropriate technology resources to address the issues of the day
  • Technology champion, introducing operations to innovative new technological solutions that will enhance the way they perform their work
  • Business analyst with a key eye around data, workflow, patterns, and opportunities that can measure ROI opportunities

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with appropriate internal and external client executives, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
  • Regularly meets with revenue cycle operations leadership to gain an understanding of the current state of the business and to lead discussion about potential technological solutions.
  • Manages throughput of open technology support tickets, acting as the liaison between the business and the appropriate technology team resources.
  • Identifies opportunities for the creation of rules in a business process management system. Drafts detailed specs of rules for rule writers.
  • Continually assesses all services and systems, identifies problems, and proposes innovative solutions.
  • Develops a deep understanding of both business needs and engineering capacity so that expectations can be managed, and work can be properly prioritized.
  • Creates bi-directional systems that effectively communicate information and data, utilizing multiple methods.
  • Manages complex interdepartmental and interdisciplinary relationships to assure collaboration and effective/efficient operations within and between the operations team and technology team.
  • Collaborates with management, users, and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements.
  • Develops automation solution design with users based upon business requirements
  • Oversees the creation and maintenance of product documentation including configuration, design, and end user training guides
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of Revenue Cycle or Healthcare experience
  • Working knowledge of the practices, procedures, and concepts of the healthcare revenue cycle.
  • Demonstrated and lead programs and projects applying project management discipline (e.t., waterfall, scrum, six sigma)
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of workflows and systems.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience effectively collaborating with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver desired business outcomes
  • Ability to develop product strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to senior leadership
  • Ability to think creatively to design and deliver client oriented digital solutions
  • Ability to articulates and present data, information, and ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Detail oriented, with demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, set schedules, and complete projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Ability to think creatively to design and deliver client oriented digital solutions
  • Ability to understand technical details and interact with engineering resources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to write SQL queries and use advanced Excel functions
  • Master’s Degree: MHA or MBA
  • 2+ years of supervisor experience
  • In-depth knowledge of all revenue cycle areas including billing, collections, charge capture, contractual adjustments, third-party reimbursement, self-pay billing, and cash management
