Compensation: $44,800.00 - $90,000.00

Overview

The Workflow Documentation Analyst partners with management to develop standardized, and updated processes. This role must understand the business needs of clients including defining and maintaining existing process documentation and identifying potential needs for system workflow changes. Additionally, this role will work closely with account management, and development teams ensuring that an ongoing dialogue on process best practices is effectively collected and presented. This position requires the ability to present recommended workflow and process within the organization to all levels of management and to client partners.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Utilizes knowledge of billing best practices, including payor guidelines and/or coding compliance.
  • Develop detailed workflows of existing processes, analyze existing processes for potential changes, outline roadmap to implement changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team to guarantee all process information is accurate and complete.
  • Update workflow procedures documentation as it relates to system and process changes.
  • Recommends workflow processes and procedures and creates workflow documents to support operational teams.
  • Work with people leaders to standardize workflows and establish / improve processes to drive efficiency and increase productivity.
  • Gather and analyze technical and process information from various sources to document new or changing processes.
  • Write, format, edit, review, and proof procedural and technical information for technical and nontechnical users.
  • Partner with project stakeholders on delays, bottlenecks, and resource constraints.
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking documentation work to meet product release dates and client deliverables.
  • This individual requires a wide degree of creativity, extensive experience in judgment, and the ability to work under pressure in a calm, professional manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
  • 5+ years in a related revenue cycle management operations role
  • 2 years of workflow or process mapping experience
  • Detailed understanding of hospital billing, cash management, and/or insurance operations
  • Detailed understanding of healthcare revenue cycle business operations workflows and system configuration
  • Advanced knowledge in Visio
  • Experience mapping new process workflows
  • Ability to translate business, process, and technical requirements from clients, stakeholders, and development teams
  • Must have ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must have ability to perform a variety of complex duties ranging from direct involvement in individual processes to overseeing projects.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships that foster optimal quality teamwork and education
  • Strong organizational skills in managing multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
