Overview
The Senior BI Developer position will help Tegria RCM build and transform our data to support efficiencies and innovations for our operations and clients. Using passion for bringing data to life through powerful visualizations, this role will focus on both designing analytical solutions and meaningfully communicating those solutions with both internal teams and external clients. The BI Developer will utilize our current technology stack (Microsoft Azure Databricks, Power BI, Snowflake) to improve our overall operational, financial, and clinical analysis.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop
- Developing DAX measures in Power BI and SSAS
- Designing and modeling datasets for reporting and visualization
- Leading solutions design conversations to elicit requirements from users
- Administering Power BI including deployment, user administration, workspace management and troubleshooting
- Responding to data requests and running ad hoc queries
- Analyzing datasets and communicating observations
- Developing and testing complex SQL queries
- Working with internal users to understand their requirements, explain issues, and prioritize work
- Connecting to data sources, importing data and transforming data for Business Intelligence
Qualifications
- More experience or desire on the visualization side of development, less on data management
- 7+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and T‐SQL
- 7+ years of experience in BI development and administration, with 5+ years of experience in development and administration of Power BI environments
- 5+ years of experience with data warehouse development
- 5+ year of experience with SSAS Tabular and writing DAX queries
- In-depth understanding of data warehouse design with advanced knowledge in querying languages such as SQL
- Strong analytical, problem‐solving and project management skills
- Collaborate with team members to identify and prioritize/reprioritize work to meet aggressive deadlines
- Serves as technical SME in all Business Intelligence and other tools used by the team
- Must be consultative in nature with an analytical, problem-solving mindset
- Ability to mentor less experienced team members
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare revenue cycle management claims data
- BS in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
- Experience working in Microsoft Azure platform with Databricks
