Crane Operator

Hourly - $35-39/hour (DOE)
Reports to: Commercial Roofing Foreman
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Position Summary:
- Operate, maintain, and inspect crane and rigs for construction projects as assigned.
Job Functions:
- Coordinating with dispatch for job assignments
- Operating and maintaining the crane
- Inspecting crane and rigging
- Reading and analyzing lift plans
- Completing all paperwork for payroll, billing, maintenance, and safety in a timely manner
- Ability to operate and maintain the crane in a safe manner
Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Necessary):
- Class B commercial driver’s license
- NCCCO telescopic boom crane fixed cab certification
Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Desirable):
- Preference for High School Graduate
- 2-4 years’ experience
Occupational Health and Safety:
- Compliance with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control
- Active participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety
- Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and property damage at the workplace
Working Conditions:
Physical surroundings: Field environment with exposure to heights, noise and temperature.
Physical Effort: Walking, turning, stooping and reaching for and carrying materials, stepping over and around obstacles, climbing ladders and scaffolding. Ability to lift over 25 lbs. on a regular basis. Must hear well enough to understand oral directions. Must see to read forms, labels, directions, prints, and specifications.
Travel: Report to same home office - travel will be from job site to job site daily.
Hours: Subject to overtime
