The Regional Controller will oversee and support the accounting & finance staff within the Operating Units, providing leadership, guidance, and direction as needed. Collaborates with Operating Unit Presidents on financial and project analysis, offering insight and expertise. Serves as a liaison to the corporate office, ensuring the timely delivery of financial data necessary for fulfilling their responsibilities. Implements and monitors internal controls to safeguard business assets and ensure strong financial performance.
 
Job Functions (include):
  • Regularly informs the CFO about regional performance and provides strategic financial advice.
  • Acts as a business partner and resource for Operating Unit Presidents within the region.
  • Evaluates accounting and finance staff performance, recommending training and adjustments when necessary.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of monthly and annual financial statements for Operating Units.
  • Ensures adherence to Tecta's delegation of authority and corporate policies.
  • Provides corporate office with required audit, tax, insurance, and other relevant information.
  • Monitors credit and collection processes, ensuring timely collections and payments.
  • Supports M&A due diligence and leads acquisition integration efforts within the region.
  • Takes on special projects and responsibilities as assigned.
 
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 15+ years of progressive industry accounting experience 
  • 5+ years in percentage completion or job cost accounting.
  • 5+ years of experience in a multi-company, multi-location environment.
  • Expertise in MS Excel and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Prior experience in the construction industry.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, with experience in both manual and automated accounting systems.
  • Excellent financial analysis, administrative, and organizational skills; ability to streamline processes.
  • Proven management skills in a decentralized, collaborative setting, with a focus on training and motivating teams.
  • Ability to build credibility, make decisive decisions, and align with Tecta America’s goals.
