We are seeking an Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist for our Wichita, KS office.
The AR Specialist is a detail-oriented and organized professional responsible for managing invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to support efficient accounts receivable operations and uphold positive client relationships. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, the AR Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the company’s financial stability and success.
Job Functions/Responsibilities
- Processes deposits daily.
- Responsible for daily data entry.
- Processes and distributes outgoing customer invoices via mail or email.
- Records all customer invoices to the general ledger.
- Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
- Verifies account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales personnel and customers.
- Resolves collections by examination, investigation, and communication.
- Responsible for verification of specific Accounts Receivable billings.
- Responsible for various period end reporting and auditing tasks.
- Will be cross trained within other areas of the accounting department.
- Assists with filtering and delegating incoming calls.
Position Requirements
- 2-years work experience in accounts receivable role.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles preferred.
- 10 Key by Touch required.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail and an aptitude for problem solving.
- Able to proactively address potential issues or errors.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Collaborative working style and team-player attitude.
- Able to work independently with little supervision.
- Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to team’s success.
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Able to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven work environment.
- Valid driver's license preferred.

- Hourly rate is commensurate with position, education, and experience.
