We are seeking a Business Development & Marketing Specialist 
The Business Development & Marketing Specialist will cultivate relationships within a designated territory to achieve or exceed assigned revenue objectives. The primary focus is the generation of new account revenue through the identification and development of qualified leads by developing a deep understanding of customer needs.
Job Functions:
  • Plan, organize, and establish objectives and goals for duties assigned
  • Identify and capture new business opportunities and develop new relationships with prospective clients to expand sales revenue and market share within assigned territory
  • Conduct cold calls, face-to-face visits and presentations with clients and prospects in specific market segments
  • Develop intelligence and background information on prospects, in order to develop targeted presentations which address the prospective client’s needs
  • Track all customers, prospects, opportunities and all sales activity into CRM system
  • Develop an understanding of competitors’ products and actions to promote a competitive edge
  • Provide follow-up to clients to ensure satisfaction with the Company’s products and services provided
  • Identify and capture market/client trends and communicate findings to management
  • Track and report weekly sales activities to management following established guidelines
  • Continuously improve knowledge of roofing industry by keeping abreast of changes in the market
  • Participate in sales meetings and training and engage in local and regional associations as warranted.
  • Maintain active involvement with local organizations such as BOMA and IREM and participating in networking events with them.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience
  • Demonstrated success in sales, a strong record of achievement and a proven ability to achieve results
  • Knowledge and ability to communicate the Company’s strengths and value propositions as the preferred provider of roof solutions
  • Ability to manage/qualify leads and close business through direct contact or over the phone
  • Excellent track record in developing relationships with a high degree of integrity and trust
  • Solid verbal, written, interpersonal and listening skills
  • Problem solving ability so that appropriate solutions can be offered to meet client’s needs
  • Comfortable with using computer systems to track data, including strong analytical abilities to assess data collected
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, as well as converse comfortably with all levels of the client’s and Tecta’s organization.
