Tecta America Colorado is seeking a  Architectural Sheet Metal Fabricator Foreman to lead in our shop. The ideal candidate must be familiar with mechanical breaks, shears and other fabrication tools and processes but are willing to train. Candidate must be available to work Monday- Friday (overtime and weekends possible but not frequent).
Pay is $30+ per hour depending on experience
Your Duties:
  • Fabrication of Sheet Metal roofing systems which includes but not limited to: coping, cleat, flashings, gutters, downspouts, and panels.
  • Install and assemble sheet metal products using brakes, shears, drills, and presses
  • Assists in inspecting fabricated parts to ensure quality, precision and accuracy standards are met. 
  • Manage time and projects to ensure efficiency 
  • Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and machines
  • Ability to perform tasks that require physical stamina such as lifting and moving materials, hand tools, shop/warehouse and construction environment
Knowledge and Skills:
  • 3+ years in sheet metal fabrication/installation or related fields (Preferred)
  • Must be familiar with Roper Whitney Auto Break AB101BE2, manual finger breaks and Ropers Whitney 10M14 Mechanical Shear.
  • Must know how to use a Rams Pittsburgh machine
  • Bi-lingual (preferred)
  • Valid DL+ Clean driving record
  • Must be 21+ for insurances purposes (Required)
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check (required)
  • Fabrication Test required prior to hire
  • Proficiency in using sheet metal fabrication tools such as shears, presses, drills and reading technical drawings
  • Familiarity with various processes (cutting, bending, assembling)
  • Understanding of safety procedures in fabrication/installation
Working Conditions:
  • Construction site environment with exposure to loud noise, various weather conditions, heat, and various equipment
  • Walking, lifting, bending, reaching, operating machinery, climbing ladders
  • Being mindful of workplace accidents, injuries, and potential safety concerns
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will use hands, have to talk, and hear. The employee is also required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
