HVAC Sheet Metal Foreman/Installer
 
Position Summary:
Schwickert’s Tecta America is seeking motivated individuals to join our team. Our HVAC Foreman/Installers are individuals who are skilled and wanting to grow within their career. The HVAC Sheet Metal Foreman/Installer is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the daily activities of field installation and production with the highest degree of quality, in the safest and most cost-effective manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide training, leadership and direction to the field staff employees. 
  • Train employees on safety procedures and safety equipment. 
  • Maximize productivity while maintaining job costs, installation quality and employee safety. 
  • Ensure the proper utilization of materials and equipment.  
  • Train Installers on different HVAC sheet metal products and systems.
  • Lead and execute commercial HVAC installations ranging from 1 day to 1 month (occasionally longer). 
  • Collaborate with a small, efficient crew (typically 2 people) or work independently depending on project scope. 
  • Utilize your sheet metal expertise to complete projects with precision and efficiency. 
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and leadership to ensure project success. 
  • Handle a variety of projects that will challenge and expand your skills daily. 
  • Additional duties
Qualifications:
Education/Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. 
  • 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
Skills & Abilities:
  • Extensive knowledge with multiple types of HVAC sheet metal products and systems. 
  • Advanced planning skills for establishing maximum productivity of workforce, materials, and equipment. 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
  • Occasional travel and out of town work is required. 
  • Available to work for extended hours when necessary. 
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • No fear of heights

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is also required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
