We are seeking an Estimator/Project Manage for our Sioux Falls, SD team.
The Estimator/Project Manager role is responsible for estimating, scheduling, operating and managing projects from inception to completion. The Project Manager ensures that all associated work is performed in a timely and cost-effective manner, in accordance with applicable plans and specifications, company policies and procedures along with sound roofing practices. The Estimator/Project Manager reports to the Operating Unit President.
Job Functions (include):
- Estimates job costs and submits proposals for review.
- Manages projects to meet targeted schedules and costs.
- Reviews and approves invoices, material slips, purchase orders, contracts, and proposals to verify that they do not compromise company policy or exceed intended scope of work.
- Resolves disputes with clients and past due accounts efficiently
- Maintains and protects all company equipment, vehicles, and Company policies.
- Tracks and controls labor and material costs of jobs.
- Invoices contract, time, and material projects.
- Works with prime and subcontractors on all phases of projects including schedules, change orders, submittals, quality control, etc.
- Fields customer requests, questions and complaints.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, college degree a plus.
- Minimum three (3) years of construction industry experience with emphasis on all facets of business. Commercial Roofing experience highly preferred.
- Critical skills include planning & organizing; problem identification/resolution, attention to detail, multi-tasking, follow-through, priority setting, and accomplishing tasks in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of TheEdge (estimating software)
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and comfortable visiting actual job sites up to 50% of the time with ability to climb/walk roofs
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with associates
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment Background Check, Drug Test and be E-Verified.
