GDPR Lead IoT (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities

  • Act as a GDPR lead for TeamViewer IoT product and serve as a primary contact for all IoT-GDPR related questions and issues
  • Manage and document the Record of Processing Activities (RoPA) for the R&D department
  • Process the requests for information according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and optimize the associated processes
  • Understand the use of technology in building data protection practices into products and services (e.g. in code reviews)
  • Consult the development teams to ensure privacy by design
  • Understand how to implement data privacy regulations in day-to-day operations
  • Collaborate closely and consult with our Legal team, our internal Data Protection Lead, the Data Protection Officer, and R&D leadership
  • Create and maintain Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for the R&D department
  • Regulate the access rights to personal data and processes and ensure the deletion of personal data that is no longer required
  • Act as an internal contact for GDPR-related questions within the R&D department
  • Maintain the supplier list for the R&D department and act as a contact person for the onboarding process of new suppliers within the R&D department including checking Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and Technical Organization Measures (TOMs) for completeness, signature or changes
  • Define and design appropriate organizational measures for possible risks in the handling of personal data for the R&D department and their regular evaluation or review
  • Assist and guide the development teams during the development of new products and features
  • Develop Data Protection training for the department 
  • Collaborate closely with the department leadership to ensure processes are part of the department culture

What you bring

  • Data Protection mindset and knowledge of data protection laws, regulations and standards
  • Good understanding of the IoT landscape, technology and use cases
  • Affinity to IT systems, IT and R&D topics and processes in combination with keen interest in legal issues, particularly in the context of GDPR
  • Strong affinity to technical processes and ability to be the bridge between technical and operational/business level
  • Strong communication skills and analytical thinking
  • Fluent English is a requirement; German is a plus
  • Team ability
  • Readiness to travel between about 30% of the time
