Your Opportunity: The Occasions Group, a Taylor Corporation company, is seeking an Office Team Lead within their Manufacturing division in North Mankato, MN. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the coordinating of day to day operations of the Customer Service, Estimating and New Item Setup teams. You will act as a leader within this group of individuals and support the team by providing assistance with knowledge and information resources as well as working through costing needs and project/program requirements. You will also be responsible for monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, directing efforts, and providing technical guidance on more complex issues.

Your Shift: Mon - Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm

Your Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a leader for a group of employees
  • Provide a high level of clerical, administrative, or technical support requiring more advanced skills
  • Assists team(s) with escalated calls, problem solving, and tracking projects
  • Provide guidance, or serve as a resource, on more complex issues and act as a resource to answer questions from employees within the department and from other departments within the organization
  • Investigate complaints about service and product and resolve issues
  • Understand the “cost” pricing structure; factors such as material cost, overhead, and estimate jobs
  • Maintain costing system; update costs, remove old costs/OH factors, and add/change pricing groups
  • Document SOP’s related to various activities throughout the teams
  • Organize workflow within the department to meet deadlines
  • Inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards and provide regular feedback to employees on quality and production
  • Assign and monitor work as well as review progress of work with employees, management, and key trainers
  • Motivate employees to perform at their highest ability to help achieve company and departmental goals
  • Ensure employees have the tools and supplies they need to perform their job
  • Instructs and holds employees accountable to policies, procedures, equipment usage, and safety regulations
  • Acts as an agent of change in department processes and procedures

You Must Have:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Strong desire to provide leadership
  • Business knowledge and acumen
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Strong written, verbal, and oral communication skills
  • High level of initiative and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to contribute to an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation to maintain an effective working environment as well as ensure continuity of service to customers
  • Competence in Microsoft Office including Excel

  • Previous experience within a production environment
