Western Graphics & Data is seeking a Pack Line Operator to properly set up and operate production machinery to fill, wrap, label, and pack containers with product.  This position will be responsible for inspecting packaged items for conformance with specifications, tallying and weighing products, and observing operations to identify equipment malfunctions and/or repair needs and making adjustments, as needed.  In addition, this position is responsible for completing and maintaining all documentation, along with training other team members.

 

Shift Available

  • Shift 3: Sunday – Tuesday with alternating Saturdays, 4:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for operating production machinery while working at a fast and consistent pace
  • Ensure product is kept in sequential order by catching cards off a conveyor belt and boxing the product.
  • Identify cards that are out of order or doubles in each package and place cards in the correct order with corresponding number cards separating bundles of product.
  • Communicate with other team members when quality issues are present to avoid quality errors.
  • Responsible for tracking all spoiled and missing product.
  • Conduct visual checks of machinery and escalates any problems to leadership and maintenance
  • Perform daily cleaning of machinery, including using chemical cleaners
  • Contribute to the team’s production goals
  • Understand and complies with all departmental policies and procedures

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six (6) months experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Associate’s Degree in Manufacturing or related field
  • Ability to delegate tasks and provide clear direction to co-workers
  • Ability to work with numbers; comprehend number sequencing and recognize errors
  • Maintain a pattern of regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions
  • Has good mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects
  • Perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast paced work environment
  • Interact constructively and effectively with all plant employees
  • Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal
  • Reacts to change productively and handles other tasks as assigned
  • A service-oriented individual with a high energy, positive and friendly demeanor
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Proficient in reading, speaking, and understanding the English Language
