MentorMate is seeking a Design Producer to help manage digital product design from concept to completion. As a producer, you will work closely with the Vice President of Design and the  Design Directors to help drive operational practice in the studio. You will work with, develop, and refine design briefs and project plans, facilitate design reviews, and connect daily with project managers and delivery teams as they develop applications and services. You will be responsible for creating efficiencies in the design and production process, enabling designers, researchers, and content creators to stay focused on delivering high-quality work on time.  This includes allocating resources and coordinating the efforts of team members to deliver projects according to plan for multiple clients.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables to support client business needs in collaboration with management and all stakeholders

  • Pair work styles to project flow

  • Keep team members accountable for their tasks and scope

  • Drive timelines and budgets

  • Create project plans, scope documents, schedules and forecasts.  Provide timely communication on the impact of changes and decisions.

  • Effectively communicate project expectations and status to team members and stakeholders

  • Draft and submit budget proposals, manage the design portion of the project to the client’s budget, and recommend budget changes when necessary

  • Build, develop, and grow relationships with clients and team members

  • Coach, mentor, and motivate project team members

  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Producer / Project Management / Product Management role

  • Design process experience

  • Design Operations experience

  • Solid understanding of iterative design and production processes demonstrated by your experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present to peers across disciplines

  • Experience and skill at scoping and estimating design and research projects and tasks accurately and effectively

  • Proficient in Google apps (Gmail, Calendar, Drive) and MS Office


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with offshore teams

  • Working knowledge of web and/or mobile technologies
