Taymark Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Developer in our IT Department. This position is responsible for designing, developing, install and maintain business and management information systems and procedures.  This role will develop specific computer and business expertise necessary to solve production and maintenance problems in assigned project/system areas.  Prepares and conducts system and programming tests requiring interfacing of hardware and software. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Designs, writes and maintains systems/programs of moderate to advanced complexity and scope
  • Performs functions necessary to maintain the C# programs that make up the manufacturing production environment as well as any other internally developed or third party application integration and extension as assigned by management.  This may include running of production jobs or reports, database or file manipulation, exception analysis and handling, and program development or modification
  • Develops unit test plans for all development projects
  • Tests and debugs programs, consults with users in the development of test data, tests programs using test data and appropriate files, and reviews results with users
  • Performs quality assurance testing for programs developed by other team members as assigned by management
  • Performs program maintenance and problem resolution on assigned systems/programs outside of normal working hours when required to support the production environment
  • Attends training courses as recommended by Managers
  • May occasionally work with outside IT resources.  These can include sister company IT departments, contractors/consultants, or vendors/suppliers
  • Notifies management whenever a production-impacting incident occurs
  • Provides regular updates to management on production issues or project status based on mutually determined schedule
  • Delivers well-tested code for assigned projects within agreed-upon project timeframes
  • Adheres to company standards and methodology
  • Adheres to company confidentiality and security requirements
  • Demonstrates high level of integrity and professionalism

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum two-year Technical Degree
  • Minimum three years relevant work experience
  • Ability to work with both users and technical personnel and to provide a high level of customer service
  • Able to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Strong analytical, technical, and organization skills
  • Working knowledge of the following:
    • C# .Net, and Visual Studio
    • MVC with ASP.NET
    • MS SQL Server and other Database file access
    • Computer hardware, Web Platforms, Servers, Personal Computers and peripheral devices
    • Computer Software including systems and application software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HTML, CSS
  • JavaScript
  • Bachelor degree in a technical field 
  • Adobe InDesign Server or similar layout and composition engine experience
