Technical Account Manager (R1347 )
MentorMate is seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to help maximize opportunities within our existing client base. The ideal candidate is has a strong technical background, is a self starter, business savvy, and can partner with key decision makers to drive successful outcomes.
Reporting to the Director of Client Success, the TAM will support the Project and Account Managers in defining, estimating, and selling new services into our existing client base. In addition, the TAM will maintain and proactively develop one-on-one business relationships within our clients, while finding opportunities to introduce MentorMate’s service offerings to solve business problems. The TAM will partner with cross-functional teams including Sales, Delivery, Legal, Finance, and Operations to align resources to facilitate deal closure.
Primary Responsibilities Include
Advocate for expanded use of MentorMate services for existing clients
Work with the delivery teams to prioritize opportunities
Conceptualize and propose solutions to solve business problems
Deliver detailed proposals and estimates while managing opportunities through to project start
Lead discovery workshops to gather requirements and define solutions, including application architecture, user flow, roadmap, project estimates, and related deliverables
Effectively delegate and collaborate with practice managers and development resources during the sales process to estimate opportunities
Create and maintain lasting relationships with clients
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Understanding of software development processes and methodologies
Technical experience with one or more of the following: .NET, .PHP, Android, iOS, Java, front end technologies
5+ years’ professional experience; experience in a software company or equivalent desired
Excellent written, verbal, visual, technical communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage changing priorities
Excellent cross-organizational skills, including the ability to influence without authority and communicate with senior executives
