Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a dynamic Marketing Manager motivated to bring their best to the team and bring out the best in the team. You’ll join a team of strategic thinkers, data miners, designers, and creative storytellers to propel growth for Taylor’s Commercial Print & Visual Communications Group and external clients. As part of a newly formed and growing team, you will be responsible for developing and growing relationships, fostering smart business process development, and to meeting and exceeding growth goals.

The position involves direct interaction with both internal and external clients where you’ll get the opportunity to solve complex design and marketing challenges with imaginative approaches and solutions.

Key Capabilities include:

Client Management

  • Oversight of day-to-day agency performance and client relationships
  • Proactive assessment of client needs & leadership in marketing support to achieve ambitious growth goals
  • Assess and recommend tactics and strategies for building efficiencies, streamlining and enhancing the value of the team to the client
  • A drive for continual learning to position you as a subject matter expert in your clients’ field with regard to products & services, competitive landscape and market trends
  • The ability to win clients with compelling presentations in partnership with marketing leaders

Team Leadership

  • Serve as a champion of the marketing and creative services team, pulling together integrated activities and stewarding them from discovery to execution
  • Excellent communication skills: engaged listener; ability to manage across a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders; an inspiring attitude; strong writer; capable of building compelling presentations and presenting to groups of varying sizes and experience levels
  • Experience leading, influencing and unifying cross-functional teams, peers, and partners
  • Lead collaborative efforts to create unified services, communications, and marketing materials to add value to the client
  • Interest in advertising, design, creativity, advertising, branding, and culture
  • Support team to grow strategically, tactically, and interpersonally
  • Individual contributor that can quickly grow into managing others on a growing team

Process Improvement & Project Management

  • Contribute ideas for developing and improving process and workflows for best practices
  • Build and manage project scopes, plans, and budgets to maximize efficacy of resources
  • Ability to manage up and across a large organization with multiple initiatives and projects
  • Consistently accountable for delivering on-time and on-budget

Your Responsibilities:

  • Create presentations for meetings and reports, proposals, pitches, new business responses, and project deliverables
  • Participate in internal and external client meetings to provide project updates, share thought leadership, problem-solve, and take ownership of tasks that propel progress and contribute to continual improvement and growth
  • Develop marketing plans, craft value propositions, and create best in class communication sharing programs (infrastructure and content)
  • Evaluate and contribute ideas to marketing and creative deliverables
  • Work with team to ensure project feasibility, budget, and overall program needs
  • Manage projects and maintain organization of files and records for optimal efficiency
  • Balance multiple projects in a fast-paced, lean environment
  • Develop marketing solutions with brand consistency and executional excellence
  • Successfully develop and execute programs utilizing both direct resources as well as matrix resources while leveraging marketing funds with a focus on greatest business impact
  • Continually grow your understanding and knowledge of company philosophy, products, and processes

You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 7+ years collective experience in the marketing, agency, and/or printing industry
  • Strategic-thinking balanced with ability to make decisions and recommend actionable strategies
  • Skilled in the creative and production processes and is a good evaluator of creative and marketing solutions
  • Clear, concise oral and written communicator
  • Proven track record of developing strong client relationships and hitting key client success measures in sales or in profitability
  • The capacity for timely response to feedback from clients and leaders
  • Have a reliably calm disposition when under pressure
  • Expert proficiency and experience with primary Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google applications (Docs, Slides, and Sheets)
  • Experienced in using project management tools (Workfront, Asana, etc.)
  • Ability to laugh and have fun

We Would Prefer:

  • Proficiency in Creative Suite applications (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop)
  • Interest in understanding production materials and methodologies as well as printing, manufacturing, and fabrication processes
