MentorMate is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand our rapidly evolving client base. The position is responsible for identifying, cultivating and closing new business. All potential leads are to be generated by the Business Development Manager, with support from the Marketing, Solutions and Consulting teams. The position reports to the VP of Sales and Marketing.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Effectively communicate and explain the MentorMate services and value propositions.

  • Research and identify strategic accounts and growth opportunities

  • Develop outbound opportunities to grow strategic services sales

  • Achieve revenue quotas based upon agreed to quarterly and yearly objectives

  • Develop an account plan that aligns to customer priorities and the MentorMate defined services

  • Build effective relationships and respond quickly to emerging customer opportunities and provide for seamless execution of the MentorMate’s business products and services

  • Communicate and work effectively with all internal personnel including management, solutions architects, client operations, marketing, legal, etc.

  • Assist with the development and refinement of the MentorMate core services and associated messaging

  • Perform all other duties as needed or required to maintain and grow profitable accounts

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of software and/or services sales and account management experience

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Successful track record in a sales-driven environment

  • Detail oriented, ability to problem solve with employees and clients, ability to manage multi-task in a fast-paced environment, self-starter

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Marketing or Business Development 

  • Prior experience in software/development industry 

  • Understanding of web and mobile development
