So what does a Content Moderator really do? Think of yourself as someone who will ensure high quality and safe experiences for both people and businesses across the social media family of apps, so not everyone can qualify for this role. As a Content Moderator, you will be instrumental in keeping our online world engaging, appropriate, and safe. You will apply a content policy to digital content and execute handling procedures with consistency. The best candidates are able to identify subtle differences in the meaning of digital communication and accurately enforce the client’s terms of use by carefully monitoring reports of abuse on the site. You will actively participate in employee assistance programs, program reporting initiatives and training to foster the well-being of you and the employee community.  A Content Moderator will escalate through appropriate channels any changes that may impact performance or as necessary to maintain required KPIs. You will also adhere to security measures, confidentiality, and other project requirements in any way related to your work.

So what does all this mean for your day-to-day? In the Content Moderator role, you will be working on a computer each day reviewing content such as videos, news stories, still pictures, political ads, and social media profiles. You will then score this content on areas such as age-appropriateness, level of violence, sexual content, and political transparency. In order to properly identify all of these items, you will be trained on how to enforce the client’s policies, and then use these policies to support the overall business.

As a Content Moderator, you understand the importance of working hard and having fun! Do you have what it takes to be a Content Moderator?


So, what is it we’re looking for? Well since this is a Digital Content Moderator we need someone with at least a high school diploma or equivalent. What else? We also need someone who has a native English language proficiency, both written, and verbal. We also need someone who has a minimum of one year prior operations experience in shared services, business process outsourcing environment or comparable service or process management. environment. 

Now let’s get technical. We’re looking for someone who has a high affinity for, and cultural awareness of political and social situations regarding the relevant market and region that will be supported by each teammate.  We also need someone to be aware of the cultural and regional differences for nuanced policy decisions to be applied in accordance with abuse standard policies and training materials.
