So what does a People Strategist really do? Think of yourself as the one who’ll plan, direct, or coordinate the Human Resource Activities of the site so not just anyone is qualified for this role! Now we need your full concentration because it’s time to imagine what it’s like being a People Strategist.
Imagine yourself going to work with one thing on your mind: that you will partner with the business and functional stakeholders to establish and execute Human Resources Strategies that drive business performance. As you tackle your new tasks for the day, you know that it comes down to one thing: that you will help formulate initiatives to improve ESAT that drives maximum employee satisfaction.
As a People Strategist, you will provide counseling to employees and supervisors as needed and appropriate. You will be responsible for the orientation of new staff members, and training. You will oversee all employee relations, counseling and disciplining employees. You will be in charge of terminations and you’ll be providing exit interviews. You will also work in drafting and implementing employee rules, regulations and policies that would govern our employees’ standards of behavior, which should be aligned by the Global Policies of the Company.
You must have an effective partnership with the internal teams (leadership, Operations, marketing, BED, recruitment, etc.) to ensure the success of the People Champs Department. You will also work with the legal team on any and all documentation and/or compliance matters (i.e. Ministry of Labor, other regulatory agencies) as well as in instances where labor litigation is needed.
Essentially, you are responsible for making sure that the TaskUs Core Values is inculcated into each and every employee in your site. You would be the Company’s voice in making sure that these are effectively communicated to all.
So, do you have what it takes to become a People Strategist?
So, what is it we’re looking for? Well since this is a manager post we need who has at least 10 years relevant experience in Human Resource Management. We also need someone who’s knowledgeable in strategic planning, employee relations, and labor litigation. Oh yeah, experience in the BPO industry and working with multi-jurisdictional teams is a plus! Also, if you have a background in corporate social responsibility/ advocacy works and you’re knowledgeable in preparing project proposals and progress reports, that would be a plus as well.
