Imagine yourself going to work with one thing on your mind: that this role provides leadership during events which requires activation of all or part of the Business Continuity 
Contingency Plans. 
As you tackle your new tasks for the day, you know it will lead to one thing: that you will oversee the Planning, Coordination and Scheduling of Business Continuity Testing and Exercises to Validate Plans, 
Requirements and Overall Readiness.

As a Business Continuity Manager, you Coordinates with the Senior Management Team during actual events or potential unplanned business 
interruptions and provide direction, as appropriate, in the execution of Business Continuity process. You will lead the representation for Internal and Client Audits. 
You will be accountable for timely Internal Communication of updates and trends of potential impacts. You will support the development and maintenance of enterprise Business Continuity policies, standards, and guidelines 
through New Client Implementation. 
You will supervise timely completion of BC related deliverables across the enterprise. You will develop and established an ongoing Awareness and Training Program (including for New Hires) to ensure 
employee understanding of Site­ Specific Emergency Response and their BC responsibilities. You will ensure personnel with specific BC responsibilities are adequately trained to fulfil those roles. You will review Risk Assessments to evaluate effectiveness of existing Site­ Specific Emergency Response Plans and 
You will provide recommendations to help mitigate identified risks through the appropriate use of technical, 
procedural, and administrative controls.

So, do you have what it takes to become a Business Continuity Manager?


So, what is it we’re looking for? Well, since this is a manager post, we need someone who has a Bachelor’s degree, preferably Management Engineering or Industrial Engineering. We also need someone who has 5+ years total work experience, 3+ years BCM experience. Someone who has a strong knowledge and experience in BPO operations is an advantage. Previous experience in an IT consulting firm is an advantage!

What else? We need someone with a proven track record of meeting deadlines and driving deliverables. Someone with experience leading an autonomous team and overseeing resources in a matrix environment (matrix could cut across two or more functional groups). Someone who has a professional certification is an advantage (DRII, BCI etc.). You must have skills in: project management, risk management, business continuity planning, disaster recovery, accountability and results focus. Oh yeah, you must also be a strategic thinker, you must have the ability to communicate, driver performance and get results. You must be willing to work different shifts, long hard hours, weekends, holidays and you must be willing to travel as needed.
