So what does a Financial Analyst really do? Think of yourself as someone who is responsible for monitoring, explaining and preparing the flux analysis of the P&L and balance sheet accounts of specific legal entity assigned to him/her, so not everyone can qualify for this role. We make sure we get the best of the best, after all, we are a ridiculously good company so we make sure our employees are top notch. Now we need your full concentration because it’s time to imagine what it’s like being a Financial Analyst.
Imagine yourself going to work with one thing on your mind: that you will be functionally reporting to the Senior Accountant and with dotted guidance from the Finance Manager. As you tackle your new tasks for the day, you know that it will lead to one thing: that you will ensure that the month-end activities are executed properly and that all relevant reports will be submitted timely in preparation of the consolidation reporting of the US entity.
As a Financial Analyst, you will prepare balance sheet schedules, namely: fixed Asset schedules, employee related receivables, advances to employees, accruals, AP Others, and various deposit items. You will also prepare bank reconciliation statement on a monthly basis and also prepare year to date and monthly departmental cost performance report/Budget to Actual Analysis. As a wizard for numbers, you will then prepare year to date and monthly P and L analysis, perform audit of vouchers, and prepare monthly accrual of unpaid expenses as well as the 13th month & Leave computation. What else? Well, you will also handle the recording of Payroll related transactions and also assist the Financial Accounting Manager in preparation of annual company budget. You will also assist in the Yearly analysis of Salaries and Benefits. You will prepare financial schedules as required by external auditor and you will provide ad-hoc reports as well as analysis whenever it’s required. You will perform other accounting functions as assigned.
So, do you have what it takes to become a Financial Analyst?
So, what is it we’re looking for? Well, since this an analyst post, we need someone who has the experience to even call themselves as one that’s why we need someone with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience. Have a BS Accountancy Degree? Have a CPA, CMA or ACAA? Then you’re what we need!
We also need someone who has great technical knowledge when it comes to Microsoft and Google Applications. If you have ORACLE experience as well and have knowledge in various reportorial PEZA requirements -- then that’s great!
Are you someone who’s keen on details and can work with minimum supervision? Do you have strong communication and analytical skills? Can you also work under pressure and you’re willing to render extended work hours? Then you’re what we need!
