So what does a Business Continuity Officer really do? Think of yourself as one the primary people incharge of TaskUs during a disruption which impacts Operations; yes, that’s who we are looking for!  A Business Continuity Officer plays a vital role in our organization therefore, only a select few are qualified for this role! Imagine yourself going to work with one thing on your mind: You will lead the development and implementation of all components of Corporate Business Continuity Management Programs.  This includes but is not limited to Risk Assessment, Business Impact Analysis, Incident Response, Plan Development, and Maintenance. As you tackle your new tasks for the day, you know it will lead to one thing:  you must facilitate, drive and oversee the overall implementation of activities relating to the Business Continuity Management Program.

Furthermore, you will coordinate with the Senior Management Team during actual events or potential unplanned business 
interruptions and provide direction, as appropriate, in the execution of the Business Continuity process. 
You will oversee the planning, coordination, and scheduling of business continuity testing and exercises to validate plans, 
requirements, and overall readiness. But that’s not all, you will be involved in Internal and Client Audits; send timely Internal Communication of updates and trends of potential impacts; support the development and maintenance of enterprise Business Continuity policies, standards, and guidelines 
through New Client Implementation and supervise timely completion of BC related deliverables across TaskUs enterprise. 

That’s not all, you will develop and establish an ongoing Awareness and Training Program for employees and ensure personnel with specific BC responsibilities are adequately trained to fulfill their roles in the Business Continuity Program. 
You will also provide recommendations to help mitigate identified risks through the appropriate use of technical, 
procedural, and administrative controls.

I’m sure you are curious about what are we looking for, read on! This is an executive post therefore, we need someone who has the experience to even call themselves one. We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of total work experience and at least 2 years of BCM experience. Have a Bachelor’s degree? Great! Even better if you have a degree in IT, but that’s just a preference, not a mandatory requirement.

Tell us,  are you someone with experience in BPO operations? That’s an advantage too! On top of that, we need someone with strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to effectively plan and organize his work - time management is the key!  But wait, you gotta hear more, you must be effective at collaboration and more importantly, able to deliver consistent results.  A proven track record of meeting deadlines and driving deliverables is also very essential.

In addition, our BC officer candidate must have notable experience in leading an autonomous team and overseeing resources in a matrix environment (matrix could cut across two or more functional groups). 

Do you have professional certifications like DRII & BCI? Perfect! You are exactly what we’re looking for!

Are you a night owl? We provide 24x7x365 support so you have to be willing to report in the night shift or rotating schedule, ensure long work hours, weekends, holidays, and on-call. Yes, you’re going to be pretty much like a doctor! And lastly, it is a must that you have a travel junky because we need someone who is willing to travel, as needed.
