Florence Copper is a wholly owned subsidiary of Taseko Mines Limited which is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Taseko is also the operator and the owner of the Gibraltar copper/molybdenum mine in Canada and various other development projects.

Florence Copper is seeking a Wellfield Maintenance Technician to bring their mechanical know-how and safety-first mindset to our dynamic operations. This role is vital in keeping our wellfield running smoothly — troubleshooting, repairing, and returning essential equipment back to peak performance.
Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Supervisor for Pond Operations.
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent , the Pond Supervisor occupies a safety sensitive position and is responsible for all aspects of day to day operational and maintenance activities for their crew.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
• Supervise the maintenance and cleaning work associated with the operations of the ponds.
• Supervise the removal, cleaning, and reinstallation of evaporation equipment with the goal of minimizing down time.
• Responsible for daily shift reports, team member time reporting, and pond inspection forms.
• Assist with inventory and procurement of spare parts and supplies as necessary.
• Meet and exceed pond maintenance plans and schedule.
• Provide coaching and feedback as needed to team members.
• This is a working supervisor position meaning that the successful candidate will participate in all daily pond operations and evaporators maintenance duties.
• Related duties as required.
Education and Work Experience:
• Experience with Pond Maintenance Operations and Pit Boss cleaning operations.
• Previous supervisory or lead experience is preferred.
• Experience working in a safety first focused environment.
Skills and Competencies:
• Skilled in maintaining awareness of occupational hazards and reinforcing best safety practices.
• Able to effectively manage time, set priorities to manage multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines.
• Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Work Environment:
• This position will include some office work, but most work will be performed in all-weather conditions outdoors.
• While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must work in compliance with the Florence Copper (OSHA) site safety program.
• Personal protective equipment is required when performing work.
