Job Summary:
The Warehouse Technician is responsible for a variety of routine warehouse duties involving the receiving, unloading, inventory, storing, movement, and distribution of goods and materials at the Florence Copper site. This position plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining the inventory and operations within the Florence Copper warehouses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and unload goods and materials
- Update and maintain inventory records, conduct periodic cycle counts, and manage stock levels
- Process pick tickets and issue materials to departments in accordance with work orders
- Communicate with other departments to notify of any possible delays
- Safely operate warehouse equipment such as a forklift or other light equipment
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and in compliance with safety regulations
- Coordinate with team members and vendors to ensure timely receipt and procurement of materials
- Other duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications & Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years’ experience in warehouse operations
- Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills
- Experience with operating a forklift and other light equipment
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a warehouse environment
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift certification
Work Environment:
- This position will include warehouse work, but some work will be performed in all-weather conditions outdoors.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must work in compliance with the Florence Copper’s site safety program.
