Job Title: Warehouse Technician

Department: Supply Chain

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Florence AZ

 

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Technician is responsible for a variety of routine warehouse duties involving the receiving, unloading, inventory, storing, movement, and distribution of goods and materials at the Florence Copper site.  This position plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining the inventory and operations within the Florence Copper warehouses.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and unload goods and materials
  • Update and maintain inventory records, conduct periodic cycle counts, and manage stock levels
  • Process pick tickets and issue materials to departments in accordance with work orders
  • Communicate with other departments to notify of any possible delays
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment such as a forklift or other light equipment
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and in compliance with safety regulations
  • Coordinate with team members and vendors to ensure timely receipt and procurement of materials
  • Other duties as needed

Minimum Qualifications & Education:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years’ experience in warehouse operations
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills
  • Experience with operating a forklift and other light equipment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time

Preferred Qualifications: 

 

  • Forklift certification

Work Environment:

 

  • This position will include warehouse work, but some work will be performed in all-weather conditions outdoors.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must work in compliance with the Florence Copper’s site safety program.
