Director of Business Development

The Director of Business Development is a unique role within TAS that works to expand the growth of Modular/Offsite Construction for both TAS and our sister company, EAS (Environmental Air Systems) -  This position is responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with key customers, closing deals, targeting new accounts and developing business while understanding the needs of the customer and how to meet those needs. The target markets include data centers, pharmaceuticals, healthcare systems, manufacturers, and other high-tech facilities owners.  This role will target customers in the South Central region of the United states, but the pursuits of this role may lead outside of this region



  • Foster internal and external relationships and drive sales opportunities for both EAS and TAS
  • Develop key account customers at the national decision-making level to grow our Off-Site Construction (OFC) sales
  • Understand the needs and capabilities of both EAS & TAS to properly drive opportunities
  • Understand market trends and develop the best customers to pursue for collective opportunities
  • Increase sales diversification to limit the impact of any one customer
  • Create opportunities for new business partnerships
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of sales strategies that differentiate us against competition
  • Have a complex understanding of product mix as it relates to capabilities and opportunities
  • Contribute to the creation of a library of readily available sales material for combined company offerings
  • Develop new customers in new markets we enter such as Edge data centers, electrical rooms, immersion cooling, modular clean rooms, GenSets, etc.
  • Collaboratively meet with the VP of MEP Engineered Solutions weekly to strategize, provide updates and stay in sync.
  • Interface with EAS and TAS applications teams on qualified opportunities supporting proposal development
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to existing and prospective customers
  • Talk with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support
  • Plan and customize project scope to meet customer needs
  • Partner with clients to solve problems and provide solutions to promote Off Site Construction
  • Recommend improved methods of delivery (Modular vs. Stick Built) to customers, showing how changes will lower costs or improve schedules
  • Help in researching and developing new products
  • Any other duties as assigned by TAS or EAS

  • B.S. in Business, Engineering or other related technical degree



  • 10+ Years’ of Modular, Prefab, or Design Build/Application based sales experience
    • Familiar with Chiller Plants, Boiler Plants, Data Centers, and/or Electrical Infrastructure
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and objectives
  • Ability to travel up to 75 % of the time, covering the South Central territory



  • Knowledge of HVAC/Mechanical design and application tools or related technical discipline


Position is at least 80% to 95% at a desk working with computer or meeting with customers at customer sites. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.  Performs other physical activities including use of fingers, sitting, stooping, bending, crouching, talking, hearing and performing repetitive motions.  Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision necessary to prepare and analyze data and figures, operate a computer terminal and conduct extensive reading.  The incumbent will be subject to inside environmental conditions.
