POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Facilities Supervisor will plan, schedule, and direct facilities work requests and assign preventative maintenance using an automated CMM and maintain asset inventory and production equipment maintenance as well as general operations of TAS buildings. The Facilities Operations Supervisor will also maintain shop organization, assess department tool needs, and maintain equipment manuals.

 

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create work schedules to assure facilities and equipment is properly maintained. 
  • Compile relevant building information to be released to the public. 
  • Monitor employees and contractors to assure safety and security policies are being followed. 
  • Communicate maintenance related activities and statuses to facility manager on a constant basis.
  • Perform periodic reports, keep records, and evaluate employee performance.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by TAS.

 

JOB SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of facilities management practices and techniques. Basic safety procedures, personnel management, and equal employment practices. 
  • Must be an effective problem-solver. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and enforce security regulations. 
  • Availability to work overtime or outside normal schedule as required.
  • Organized since this job entails making schedules and maintaining records. 

 

EDUCATION & TRAINING:

  • High School diploma

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Five years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certification in one or more of the following:
    • Electrical
    • HVAC
    • Mechanical
  • Prior Leadership Skills  

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work performed in a shop environment.
  • Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable.
  • Requires normal vision and absence of color blindness.
  • Physical effort equal to frequent moving of up to 50lbs materials.
  • Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.
  • The use of Safety Glasses is required.
  • The use of earplugs is recommended.
  • Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day (with a lunch in between) and up to 6 days a week.
  • Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.
  • Steel-toe boots required in Manufacturing Facility.
