POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Revit Drafting Detailer will play a crucial role in translating architectural and engineering designs into detailed technical drawings and plans.

 

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize Revit to meticulously create detailed construction drawings from redlined documents provided by engineers and project managers.
  • Ensure drawings adhere to industry standards, building codes, and company drafting protocols.
  • Perform quality control checks to identify and rectify errors, inconsistencies, and omissions in drawings.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to clarify project requirements and ensure drawings accurately reflect design intent.
  • Maintain a well-organized system for managing project documents and revisions within Revit.
  • Stay up to date on advancements in Revit features and drafting best practices.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by TAS.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Detailing Draftsman using Revit in the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Revit for creating detailed construction drawings.
  • Strong understanding of drafting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Preferred

  • Experience with Revit families and component creation.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based collaboration platforms for Revit models.
  • This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong grasp of Revit who thrives in a collaborative environment.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Position is at least 80% to 95% at a desk working with computer. Ability to exert up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Performs other physical activities including use of fingers, sitting, stooping, bending, crouching, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions. Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision necessary to prepare and analyze data and figures, operate a computer terminal, and conduct extensive reading. The incumbent will be subject to inside environmental conditions.
