POSITION OVERVIEW: 

The Sales Manager is responsible for developing sales channels and growing orders for Modular engineered products in mission critical and other markets.   

  

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Identifying, developing, and closing sale opportunities by calling on major accounts in a defined geographic region or business segment as required. Develop long-term relationships with potential customers and partners.
  • Delivering on the assigned segment orders, sales, and margin goals for the assigned region(s) and / or business segment(s).
  • Managing development of opportunities through sales process interfacing with inside support personnel to planned sales objectives in the assigned region(s) and business segment(s).
  • Developing, executing, and implementing a yearly strategic business plan for the region to include forecasting next year projected sales, regional market potential for existing product lines and an overview of future TAS products that would better service customers in the assigned region(s) and business segment(s).
  • Working with the Engineering and Applications Engineering teams to provide solution architecture for customer opportunities. 
  • Leading bid preparation and serving as the proposal manager for key opportunities. 
  • Working with Engineering and Sr Leadership to develop new products and capabilities in response to market drivers. 
  • Maintaining relationships with key management personnel within customer organizations.
  • Regularly update management on activity and progress versus goals
  • Overseeing projects associated with new account development.
  • Any other duties as assigned by TAS.

  

JOB SKILLS 

  • Demonstrated strong Leadership skills and past sales successes.
  • Understanding of potential markets for OSM modular build solutions
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, understanding of how customers will purchase OSM products for their projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively individually but within a matrixed organization.

  

EDUCATION & TRAINING 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business from an accredited college or university.
  • A substitution of military leadership and/or 10+ years business segment related work experience may be considered in lieu of an engineering degree.

  

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Knowledge of mission critical markets
  • Experience as a sales manager and able to demonstrate a proven track record in.
  • Effective relationship building and understanding of fortune 500 company type organizations.
  • Understanding of contract terms and conditions, planning sequencing and project execution methods.
  • Skilled in negotiation and closing techniques demonstrated through sales success with previous employers.
  • Ability to travel when needed to support business sales goals.

  

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 5-10 years’ experience in a engineered product/ manufacturing sales role
  • Engineering, Project management with sales-oriented career development goals
