Position Purpose
The Senior TAIT Crew leads both people and projects to ensure successful execution of their assigned touring projects. Their essential duties are in delegation of work, supporting employees, training, and ensuring all assigned projects are ready to tour. Senior TAIT Crew members must maintain general knowledge of industry technology as well as continued focus on developing leadership skills. Seniors must have a highly proactive solution-based mentality with a positive approach to challenges.
The TAIT Crew team is responsible for the deployment, operation, and maintenance of TAIT systems, with a particular focus on concert touring. TAIT Crew provides strong technical leadership to touring projects, collaborating closely with clients on the road.
This role is 50% direct- half of a Senior TAIT Crew member’s time will be focused on people, while the other half will be focused on ensuring that all our touring projects are successful.
Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Assist Manager, TAIT Crew with employee life cycle work in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding all TAIT Crew employees.
- Manage assigned TAIT Crew employees, including holding quarterly check-ins and post tour performance reviews.
- Assess and evaluate employee performance, providing constructive feedback and coaching support career advancement opportunities.
- Help team members resolve problems and interpersonal challenges, escalating when required.
- Coordinate with Resource Management and TAIT Crew Leadership to ensure projects are staffed appropriately and are set up for success.
- Participate in project prep with a focus on training entry level employees on touring culture, interpersonal dynamics, and touring SOPs.
- Ensure all assigned projects leave the shop ready to tour, including each touring team member knowing their role/responsibility, fully functional technical gear, all necessary spares are carried on the tour, and that the correct touring solutions are in place.
- Anticipate and identify project challenges and work with Crew Chief to drive solutions to any of those project risks.
- Understand project spend and budget in order to approve employee expenses.
- Champion company and departmental initiatives.
- Understand and follow TAIT project processes.
- Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the organization, ensuring a safe and organized work environment on and off the road.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Attend meetings, seminars, and training sessions as required.
- Perform assigned duties according to the policies and expectations prescribed by the company.

Minimum Qualifications
To perform the essential responsibilities, individuals must have the following level of education and experience, or equivalent combination. Additionally, the following certifications, knowledge, skills, or physical requirements are necessary for the position.
- High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred
- 10+ years in a technical role within the Entertainment Industry
- 2+ years concert touring experience
- Advanced understanding of Entertainment Industry terms and expectations
- Able and willing to be based in office environment full time
Travel Expectations
- Occasional business travel may be required, up to 100 days/year. Employees in this role should be willing and able to travel as needed to fulfill business requirements.
- Passport Requirement for Project Roles:
- International travel may be required to support project needs. Holding (or eligible to hold) a valid passport is a prerequisite. Employees in such positions are expected to have and maintain a valid passport to facilitate international travel when necessary.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision. The employee regularly operates a computer, including typing, using a mouse or keyboard, and viewing the screen for extended periods. While the role does not require regular lifting or physical exertion, there may be occasional onboarding programs or training opportunities that create opportunities for more exposure to physical tasks or new environments (sites, venues, etc.)
Work conditions of the role are:
- Work conditions may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks which require following basic safety precautions
- Must be able to work and live in close quarters with others during the extent of tours and gigs
- Must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work within or visit areas where required. This includes, safety glasses, reflective vest, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, and other PPE as required by the location.
